I have vsync problems on some random map parts...

My graphic card isnt nvidia (amd firepro v), maybe thats the reason? I tried to figure it out with "gfx_fps" but it has no effect...

And I didnt setup any vsync, this happens just sometimes and then it stays just on a specific server (mostly netherlands, I think because im just often there), and it happens just on some mapparts...

the first vsyncerror comes with the release of "Suburb-base". I dont want to say its the map, but there was the first time it happen (I think then was a new version release), since then it happens sometimes...

possible to set debug mode on? or should i start rik.exe with full debugger?

ps: the funny thing is if I play offline I dont get any errors and it works

erm, let us take a look at it and get back to you. Ive noticed a few things too but not sure if its the same. Leave it with us a little bit :)

Are you using Flux?

Cant say theres a problem here really.. Hud_fps 1 will give the vsync warning if you fail to maintain the fps gfx_fps is set to. What caused this is probably just that you set hud_fps to 1.

yes hud_fps was on 1 (to see my fps)

and yes i set gfx_fps too high (600) but my graphic card just reached 300-400, and it was not constant, but I thinked this is ok, in csgo I have also 300-400, didnt know that it makes a big diffrence in this game...

ty for your posts:
I setted gfx_fps to default (125) it doesnt give any errors (even with hud_fps on 1)

why does it make a diffrence? I other games I also dont have a constant fps, I just let it so high as possible...

how do you enable vsync, btw? was able to force it thru the driver, but is there an ingame setting?

Do NOT enable vsync, unless you also run the game on 60fps (gfpx_fps 60). It will have bad effects on everything from physics to mouse movement.

Note: The bad effects is only if you "(v)sync" to an FPS different from what the game is running on. This will cause bad effects in pretty much any game, but more noticeable in RIK than most others. If you can sync to the same FPS that gfx_fps is set to though, then there's no problem. But I'd say it's more enjoyable to play at 125fps with some tearing than at 60fps.

Perharps i will abandon this idea, but i noticed some tearing while playing online, so figured i could try and enable vsync. Did set the gfx_fps to 60 as you suggested. Will take some time and then compare to 125 fps maybe.

Get a 144hz monitor, problem solved :p:p

it happen again on the nl-server, the map was medium10, I lagged everytime on begin of the map.

I switched to german servers and the "bug"/"lag" gone, but if I would go back to nl, I would lag again...

Offline I dont lag too... My FPS drops inconstantly from 125 to 32

Yeah that's a different problem, stealth has it too. Have tried some older versions and misc stuff, haven't been able to figure out why. Seems it's both map related and also related to how many players there is on a server. Medium10 is also a very heavy map.
