Number of records total for a player (non-unique)

  • avg number of records per map
  • connection count?
  • last seen @ server
  • avg + time of #1
  • avg rank on maps
  • avg improvement per improvement
  • avg *, where * = any of the stats on the compare pages
  • compare 3 specific records functionality
@map pages: (and maybe map ranking pages..)

  • Total number of records for all versions
  • the cp+etc stuff from another dev post
  • average time, only displayed ingame atm isn't it?

  • Records timeline?
  • Player activity graph
  • player improvement graph (rank, avg misc, and per map rank and time)
  • comparing any record to any other, not just to #1. Maybe best done by making each(??) of the things on the compare page into dropdowns, so you can select any other player's record for any of the columns. Maybe somehow also the ability to compare to non-PB records, currently possible not not displayed anywhere.. Dropdown for this too? i.e. a 'which player' dropdown, and a which of this player's records dropdown under that, defaulting to the players PB...
  • Like xo suggested, a simple 'time' filter for records page would be hawt and easy, either a date picker or week or month or whatever... A dropdown containing every day a new record was set might be a bit "much"..

Will add more to this

"avg number of records per map" leads only to elitism, some people who wanna look better than they are, will load before end until they are satisfied with their times for good. Which might actually mean they never go to end. We saw this in ET already, there's really nothing good about it unless it's for your own eyes only.

Those people already do that. Am planning on adding an attempt counter that will expose them. Tbh you'd be surprised how many of the current players already do that even though there's no counter atm.

Counting number of attempts isn't going to stop me from stopping just before the finish :D

Problem is if I set a shit time I'm forced to play the map again even if I don't like it.

Attempts would be counted e.g. as every run lasting > 3 seconds or something like that, just as an example. Would log every finished non-improved run as well, and show actual improvements made, which is the only thing currently logged (i.e. new PBs)

Well that actually sounds good.

you sound surprised

Most ideas till now seemed more like a bandaid fix, but by logging every single run even if you don't complete changes the whole game imo. Then it's really about improving your times regardless of the map or just not playing at all.
